Policy & Discipline

For the maintenance of discipline amongst the students of the college, the competent Authority may appoint a Discipline (Standing) Committee each year to examine the cases of any student or student involved in any breach of rules of conduct and recommend to the Principal for suitable disciplinary action or punishment.

The students of PiMT shall follow strict discipline and code of conduct. If they fail to follow directions of the Principal, they are liable to prescribed actions that are laid out in the College Code of Conduct for the students.

Students are strongly advised not to miss any lectures, without justified reasons and are permitted by the Head of Department and Principal to do so. 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing for the semester examinations. Those who fall below the prescribed attendance will not be permitted to appear for the semester examinations.

The students shall respect and their teachers and behave with reverence and order.

Breach of Rules and Regulation of Hostels, lack of decorum, ungentle manly conduct or wilful damage of college or hostel properties, or of the belongingness of a fellow student as well as adoption of unfair means in the class rooms, laboratories, and field or in the examination hall shall constitute the Act of indiscipline by the students. A student whose conduct has not been up to the standard expected may be imposed monetary fine, temporarily or permanently suspended or rusticated from the college or debarred from taking examinations. The Principal may give hearing to the students reported against and pass orders on the recommendations of the Discipline Committee.

Anti-Ragging Policy

Ragging is a social menace and is strictly prohibited at PiMT along with its hostels, playgrounds and other college premises. The top management of PiMT and the respective colleges in association with the 'Anti-Ragging Committee' consisting of members of college governing members, teachers and students endeavour constantly to make PiMT campus ‘Ragging Free'. Student should not involved directly or indirectly in any type of raging otherwise will be punished as per the provision of Maharashtra Act XXXIII known as "Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act of 1999" resulting in suspension, expulsion from college and imprisonment.
